There are some secret ingredients that you should know of. These ingredients are for making a better relationship with you significant other or whoever. The recipe should be the same. Let’s have some fun and explore this topic shall we?!

Let’s say you and your significant other are chefs. A couple should be two chefs in a kitchen making the same recipe! Learn and grow with each other as a team. You get the eggs and I’ll get the mixer. Next, you get the milk and I’ll get the flour.

Life can sometimes be messy with ups and downs and it’s up to you and your partner to get through it together. None of this doing it alone stuff. You are a team and you should do the best you can with one another. Of course there are circumstances that an individual must go through their own challenges, but being a good partner means that they shouldn’t feel completely alone.

Our histories of how we dealt with things in the past may surface and we need to be supportive and help recognize certain patterns that may not be healthy. If you have had relationships in the past that you’ve done it alone, but now you have a good egg, open up and let them in. They want to help get you through it.

You don’t have to do it alone. Two chefs are better than one. Recognize when the other is wanting to help with the recipe. Let them sprinkle in the help whenever and wherever they can. It’s hard to ask for help, but it’s ok. Your partner may not be able to crack the egg for you because that may be your part that you need to do on your own, but they can be there to see if there are any eggshells that dropped into the mix.

Do you see what I did there?! Yes, this post is somewhat light hearted with humor, but it is very important to be open to your partner to be a part of things with you. The more you leave them out the more they will feel left out. Time will go by and another pattern will surface. Old ways and old habits may not serve you anymore. Be intentional about your choices.

We have to be in a place with our partners that is completely open. It is in my opinion that that’s the only way it will work. Healing from past trauma’s are always difficult, but we need to do the work to get through it. Our partner chef can help by being supportive. Let them.

The recipe of beautiful relationships start with the best ingredients. The more we work on the recipe the better it gets over time. You know the type that makes you feel like magic! Never felt magic with your partner? That is sad to hear. I have and it is amazing!

The magic starts when the two chefs are on the same page. They have a recipe and they want to make it great together. That’s what love is all about. It’s about coming together as a team. No, it’s not always easy. You will have a mess in the kitchen. Yes, you will have to both clean it up but in the end the goodness will come through.

Conclusion

I used the two chefs as a fun example so please don’t take it literally unless you are a chef or want to be one then go nuts! But you get what I am saying. Do your very best to be on the same page with your partner. When you feel like someone has your back it makes life more worth living. Again you don’t have to be a chef, you could be two mechanics. Or you know what you don’t even have to be the same, but you should have enough relatability to make things work. Both sides should want the same overall thing.

Question

Are you a chef? Get to cookin’ then!
