Are you surviving or are you thriving? This is a serious question. Many of us are just barely running on steam and we have been that way for many years. Do you feel you are living your best life? If not, we sure need to kick things into high gear! After all, we are only here for a short time.

I always ask people how they are doing, because I truly want to know. Like I am eager to sit for a moment and chat to see how things are going, even if it’s with a stranger. What’s odd is that I can recall hearing many people say the same thing. They would say that they were surviving.

Me: “How’s it goin?” Them: “Surviving!” That got me thinking over time as to whether is it just a saying or is it really how they are feeling their life is going. Mind you this was pre-pandemic. I started making mental notes of the people that would say it whether I knew them personally or not to find some type of trend of actual fact.

I have concluded that it wasn’t just a saying at all, it was a fact. Those that have repeatedly said, “ I’m surviving” were in fact just existing. They fought the hypothetical dragon and were carrying on with all the battle scars. Just beat to hell and tired of it all. Little by little they would tend to their wounds one by one, day by day.

The sight became overwhelmingly sad. As many of you know what you constantly say becomes true whatever it may be. You manifest your thoughts into reality. It becomes a numbers game. If you constantly say bad things about yourself and your life, then sadly that’s what it becomes. A sinkhole completely filled with heartache and despair.

Wow, this is just devastating! We need to stop treading water in survival mode even if we are just surviving. When do you start to thrive? Think about it! Are you here just to dodge the chaos of life or are you meant for better things? A better way of life.

We need to change our language. We need to change our thoughts and start manifesting what we truly want. No, it’s not gonna be easy. There is no actual easy button. I’m sorry to say, but you are going to have to work your buns off if you want to get out of that sad state for the purpose of thriving in life.

You will need to manifest what you want. This means to think good things, work towards what you want, and watch what types of things you say. Basically, stop telling a sad story. I have been wrestling with this for years unintentionally. People ask us different things about our lives and I believe there may be certain things that could be left out.

If we are constantly telling others about our issues in life we are still thinking about them. Probably sounds strange but it is my belief that we should limit those types of conversions. Instead, demonstrate what you want out of life. Emulate the goodness within you regardless of your current state.

Begin to thrive. Put all the goodness out there for you to start piecing your desired life. Think happy, be happy, and begin to thrive. Try to start detaching yourself from your survivor mentality. I am doing my best every day as well.

Conclusion

Don’t just be a survivor, be someone who thrives. Get the most out of this precious life you have, because after all, it is a short life. Well actually I guess it could be a long life if you are unhappy, but that would just suck. Smile and thrive! I am rooting for you all the way.

Question

Did you have a crazy past that made you a survivor? How did you progress through or are you working on that now?
