So many people focus on the haters to create benchmarks for themselves. You hear them say, “Thank you to all my haters out there, I have proved you wrong!” The desire to prove people wrong seems to be at the forefront, but why? Why is there so much drive and determination for people who in the grand scheme of things don’t rate? Stop giving energy to the haters!

As of recently, I have been really asking myself that very question. For years I reflected on a few people who have said that my goals were too big and far fetched. That I should consider something else. Shouldn’t we really be proving the caring and important people in our lives right?! Let’s think about this for a moment, shall we?

You may have some really cool key players that are in your corner and always believe in your goals and dreams. Show them how you reach your goals by creating the necessary action in your life. These are the people that are worth it. In reality, you don’t need to prove anything to anyone for any reason, but if you feel you must I think it would be great to use their good energy to lift you up and propel you in the direction you want to go.

Haters have such a way of getting under our skin. The negative comments, the snide remarks to others about you, and the blatant disrespect. I get that people feel the need to prove those haters wrong, but why devote time and energy in that direction? Sure, they may in some crazy way inspire you to set and achieve a certain goal, but damn! They truly don’t deserve your attention.

Inspire yourself to hit that goal and plan your own success. I think that you will feel way better. Also, you should inspire those who believe in you to do more themselves as well. Be a team. Be an accountability partner for others. With this type of mindset, you most likely will find yourself connecting and growing with the right people.

The haters will always be there just waiting for you to fail so they can feel better about themselves. It’s because they lack ambition. The haters that I have come in contact with through the years all seem to fall short in their own lives for whatever reason. Haters do have a way of getting me fired up though. So many motivational videos out there with the “doubters and haters” rant.

If people don’t like what you stand for, what you do, or what big dream you are chasing, screw-’em who cares. They aren’t the right crowd for you or your target audience anyway. Is there really a large audience of people that hate you? Really? Probably not, so move on with all the goodness you got. There are lots of good people you will inspire along the way!

Conclusion

Don’t let whatever negativity about you, your dreams, or your goals get you down. Don’t use it as fuel. Just let it go and get into your own grove. You could end up rushing so fast to try to prove those people wrong that you might end up making some costly mistakes, thus proving them right. Bet you didn’t think of that, huh?! Go get after your goals for you!!!
