What is the title of your movie for 2020? Movies are amazing!  They tell stories of many journeys that are happy, sad and unfortunate.  Or better yet, exhilarating, blissful and explosive!  From the beginning, these movies have depth and feel that we relate to in our very own lives.  Sometimes you see that hero on the big screen that we all admire and want them to save us as well, but in most cases, you don’t see their beginnings.  The part before this amazing character became the hero.  So, what the heck happened to this chiseled warrior with a colorful super suit?!  I am right here.  HELLO McFly!

You hear people say, “what is the title of your movie?”  So, take a moment or several and rewind your life, stop, press, and then press play.  Where are you at in life?  What would you title it at this very moment?  For real.  Ok, so I will tell you mine.  Mine is called, “Chaotic Rollercoaster Ride Through Amazing!”  When I rewind I look at my past and see all the different emotions in life including a lot of suffering and chaos.

Grab opportunities.

I have been able to do so many amazing things that most don’t and that most only see in blockbuster films.  Alright, maybe I am exaggerating a bit and it’s a B movie.  Whatever.  Ha.  There have been a lot of missed opportunities in my life that I just didn’t reach out and grab.  I bet there are more opportunities that I wasn’t even aware of because I was so consumed with other things that truly didn’t have any real and tangible value.  Why didn’t I grab them when they came along?  Was it fear?  Fear of the unknowing.  Perhaps.

For it is easy to criticize and break down the spirit of others, but to know yourself takes a lifetime.

– Bruce Lee

If you aren’t a fan of the title of your movie then change it.  Rewrite it.  It’s ok to do that by the way.  Yes, all of the other parts will be in the movie that you weren’t happy with but now you can visualize what you want out of the rest of your movie. The movie of your life. Everyone likes a happy ending.  Make it a blockbuster.

Reinforce what you value.

You are at the point in your life that you need to reinforce your values, your dreams, and your passions.  What do you value?  Arriving here at this post if you started from the beginning then you have accomplished many new skills (through application of course).  I am not doing it for you.  With these skills, you should be at the point where your mind is clearer than it has been.  You should be able to reflect at this point in your life and clearly define what you want.  Stay away from saying what you don’t want.  Why?  Because if you would be putting that out there in the universe.  Your brain will go through and think about it.  People will constantly say, “I don’t want someone that treats me bad.”  Well, if you constantly think about what the bad is then, POOF it arrives.  Vicious relationship cycles continue. Speak your dreams into existence.

Ok, back to the task at hand, the movie title.

You must take risks.

The most important values that I want to have or improve are risk, self-purpose, and family.  There are many more values that have great importance to me, but for the purposes of keeping this at an hr and forty-five minute film instead of a three-hour sleep in flic, I will just Forrest Gump my way through it.  For most people with A.D.D. risk is not a problem at all, however, when it comes to taking healthy calculated risks it becomes more challenging.  Not for all of course, but for myself this is where I lacked.  Perhaps it was lack of self-confidence.  I was very self- confident in other areas though.  You have to take the risks, take the chances.  When they show up, just go with it.

Learning your purpose.

Regarding my purpose, I floated through life with no actual direction, with no single purpose.  I just basically let life happen.  One job, one relationship to another with no ultimate goal.  I didn’t have the “who am I” answered.  What was I here for wasn’t even a thought that I can recall.  I have memory issues.  Being in my forties, I realized, “Oh sh*t!”  Where am I doing with myself?  What is my mission in life?  I know what I am supposed to do now, I am supposed to connect with others, inspire them and thrive!  I’ve always been the helping type.  I will help others even when I don’t personally have the resources.  I will find a way.  But I discovered that I needed to have some sort of stopping point because I wasn’t taking care of me first.

Enjoy the moments.

I was told by this sweet lady that, “people who always rescue others are the ones that need rescuing the most.”  A very powerful statement.  A statement from someone who I didn’t know.  She apparently had heard about and seen me do good deeds to others.  Now, creating the online forum space helps me do that in safer ways for myself.  Moving on to the value of family.  I want to continue to learn and grow with my family.  I am continuing to enjoy the moments.  Even the moments that aren’t necessarily big ones.  Family is everything to me.

Having defined your current values in your life and your life alone you will be able to envision your film!  Is it going to be action-packed with fun, love, and adventure like mine?!  My previous movie theme was a tragedy and a comedy.  I will be highlighting more comedy.  My new title is “The Adventures of Kid Crunch!”  Yes, I am Kid Crunch and I am the main character in my movie.  Be gone, my children.  GO and create your kick-butt title to your movie!

relentless:

oppressively constant; incessant

We have lots of purposeful questions throughout the post, so dive in.  How are you going to title it?

(Please respond to the questions here with us so we can learn and grow.  The good and the bad will help others recognize successes and failures in our own lives.  Thank you so very much!)
