Search and strive! Be more than you think you could ever be! I love the idea of getting something in my head like a goal or a challenge, and running with it with all my heart. It’s cool to see how things play out when you give it your all. Do you have the fortitude to go after your dreams wholeheartedly?
A funny story about this blog post and where it came from. When I was younger I was really into skateboarding. It was the 80s and oh how much fun that time frame was for me. I constantly challenged myself because I wanted to be a really good skateboarder. But I had to prove myself with the off-the-shelf brand before I could upgrade to the pro ones found in the magazines from California.
I finally did prove myself to my mom that it was something I enjoyed and it wasn’t a phase. Long story made somewhat shorter, we ordered my first pro board from Thrasher Magazine in 85 or 86. It was the street board of a freestyler called Per Welinder. He wasn’t necessarily my favorite skateboarder, because he did freestyle and I was a street skater. Different styles completely. I just loved the graphics.
Years went by and I kept on skating and getting better, but when I got my first car that all changed. Sadly, I needed to work to pay for performance parts for the car and to have video game money, so that took my time. Eventually, I gave my first pro board to a little kid that didn’t have the money to get one.
Recently I found myself looking at the boards online and purchased a reissue of my original one. When I received it, it had weird writing that I couldn’t read, and looked it up. It was a quote created by Welinder and I absolutely loved it. Never knew it was a quote just thought it was graphics. It made me think!

As we progress on our journeys, I think it’s a good idea to always push forward under your own power. We need to find our own strength and not follow the crowds. Do your own journey. I hear many stories of people who jump on a path that was laid out for them by their parents. “My parents wanted me to follow their footsteps and that’s all I knew.” Some go their whole careers and never realize it was never their dream.
Find what it is YOU want in life and go after it with everything you have. Have fun, make mistakes, learn, and grow. It will all be worth it when it’s yours. I will say that having my own business, building it from scratch, and nurturing it is the hardest thing I’ve done, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I am one of the lucky few that have found my calling.
I discovered what I am good at and what really speaks to my soul. This is a gift! Helping and connecting with people is my passion. Hearing the stories of others and hopefully being able to give them some insight that they may not have had before is so rewarding. When I see a light go on in their heads is so cool! I am extremely grateful that I strived and I pushed beyond with strength.

Conclusion
We are all here for a short while if your life is great, if it isn’t you will be around for a long time unhappy. Go after the things that make your heart full and happy. Don’t wait til the right time. There will never be that perfect moment. Just go for it with all you got!
