Success Quotes Defined (#273)

Here are some cool success quotes that I will break down on how I view them. Remember, everyone has their take on quotes. Take whatever goodness you can from them and add your own as well. Enjoy!

I like this quote from Albert Einstein because he was so insightful even for his time. I realized many years ago that I was absorbing other people’s chaos around me and unintentionally implementing it into my own world. When you are around people for any length of time you can quickly sum up what they are most focused on. If they are focused on negativity you could see that that’s what usually follows. You could say, “Hey, I just won the lotto!” and the first thing they would say is, “Better change your number because everyone will try to extort you!” Be mindful of who you spend time hanging around with and why.

For us to achieve our goals, we must first carve out a path—a path of growth and progress. To move the needle forward, we really need to improve how we think and how we act. This quote rings true to me. I feel as though there wouldn’t be any true substance behind success without lots of hard work and dedication. If we put in our all, the finish line surely becomes a sweeter victory. Do your very best each and every day to keep learning, growing, and evolving into a better version of yourself.

I remember when I was younger, each time I messed up on something it seemed as though it was the end of the world. I would work really hard on something and then when it failed I didn’t understand why. I felt like a failure. My brain hadn’t evolved as it has now, so I didn’t comprehend that the failure could help me in the future. Failures aren’t permanent unless you let them be. We have to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off and get back to it. Giving up isn’t an option.

Some people chase the money and chase the dream of having lots of material wealth. They work day in and day out thinking and believing in the material side of things will bring them joy. In part it could, but without having internal happiness and contentment the other things will become an anchor of despair and regret. I see it all too often and it saddens me. You have to work really hard on yourself and make certain sacrifices for things to unfold the way they should. You can’t mine for gold if you don’t have the tools to do so. This includes the mental and physical stamina it takes to actually mine it.

As an example, I use Thomas Edison. Edison is considered to be one of the most iconic inventors in history. He is known for inventing many things including the light bulb, the phonograph, and the telephone transmitter. He failed 1,000 times before inventing the light bulb. He has also famously said, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps”. Our perspective about failure needs to change and we need to develop a new appreciation for what failure can actually bring. We can gain more knowledge and be able to produce better when we think about how things worked out.

This is actually a great quote for anyone but I think it’s pretty cool for collaborative teams. If we can work with each other and remove ego we can start to build healthy business relationships. Each of us brings great things to the table and all should be heard. The more information and perspective we get the more we gain overall. Enjoy learning and growing with other like-minded people.

I feel like the more that we understand that we know nothing about the world around us the more our hunger increases for information. My brain has learned many things now in my almost 50 years on this planet, but I feel that I really don’t know enough. Each day I want to know more and more. I want to be confident and believe I am competent. I am both!

Many spend their entire lives talking, talking, talking about the things they want to do in life. Sadly, many never reach their goals because they never put any action behind what they were saying. Do the work. Work in silence and let your actual victory shine through at the end. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we just do.

This is the secret sauce right here. If you put your everything into the things you do the magic will reveal itself. If it’s made with love it’s gotta be good!
