“Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.”
-Colin Powell
I don’t want to be perfect. In fact, I believe perfection is really unrealistic. But I do believe that striving for it is extremely important. I really like when I learn from my failures and I put that information into my toolbox for later use.
“FAILURE IS NOT the opposite of success, it is PART of success.”
-Ed Brodow
I really believe this because if all comes easy without challenges, then you will really never know what you are capable of. I like to think of it as being well-rounded.
“Success is a state of mind. If you want success- start thinking of yourself as a success.”
Dr. Joyce Brothers
I used to say, “Fake it til ya make it!” I no longer say that because if you fake something, then you really aren’t interested in it. To be truly successful at something and it be fulfilling, I believe that you shouldn’t fake it. Many years ago I would tell people that they should keep my signature because one day it will be famous. No, I don’t need to be famous, it’s actually very overrated. That famous belief keeps me going and makes me feel successful. It’s cute, I even have a shirt with my signature on it. You should get one too!
“When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.”
-Elon Musk
I have always been a firm believer that if there is a will there’s a way. If it’s a challenge, it makes me want to go after it even more. I know the path I chose isn’t the easiest and that’s exactly the reason why I enjoy it so much. Actually, I believe that my path chose me. It’s so worth it!
“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life- Think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”
-Swami Vivekananda
I am kinda struggling with this one. I have A.D.D. so the thought of only one idea, one thing just doesn’t ring true to me. I do love having many irons in the fire. I absolutely understand that if you have your hands in many things, then there’s absolutely no way that you yourself can give each 100%. I love variety and I think of myself as being successful. I am accomplishing my goals along the way and being productive.
