What are your values in life? I mean what are your key beliefs and priorities deep inside of you. Having values and staying true to your core beliefs is not always easy. Life will throw lefts and rights all the way throughout, but if you can create and set life values for yourself and stick to them you will most certainly live a more fulfilling life. Surrender the old, absorb the new. Practicing what you preach and being the key player to your story is mission-critical.
To start the process or reorganize your priorities you need to first identify the things that make you the happiest and also the things that will contribute to your overall health and well-being. For this to happen organically you need to really dig deep down. Don’t throw in values that society says are good for you, don’t go with what others think you should do. Do you, and as you go your actions should align with the core llife values you created. What are your personal values?
Here is a list of some good values that you could consider:
A deep understanding of them is important and hopefully you will be able to identify the ones that mean the most.
- Being genuine. We all tell stories from time to time but it is important to be sincere and shoot straight from the hip with others. Don’t fake it.
2. Having gratitude. Being grateful and showing gratitude towards others just feels good. Knowing that there are many others in the world that don’t have the things you do, material or not has a way of humbling you. If you are healthy, be grateful because many are not.
3. Your word. When you tell others you will do something, do it. Stay true to that and be reliable. Your word should be your bond.
4. Having patience. The understanding that things generally take time to happen will help in your journey. Be patient with yourself and with those around you.
5. Being loyal. Reliability and staying true to others is important in relationships. Learning forgiveness will go a long way with this one.
6. Constantly learning. The ever-evolving thirst for knowledge and creativity makes you more fulfilled. There are so many amazing things in this world so take as much in as you can.
7. Having courage. Take the actions and understand that it’s ok to fail. Failing is a part of it and the more steps that we take forward the more we will build up our courage.
8. Being generous. Many of us are doing pretty well for ourselves. Not necessarily in the monetary side of things, but having abundance in life. There are a lot of people that aren’t in the same position and could use a helping hand. Time and resources are a great thing to give to others in need.
9. Being a creator. Generate new ideas, paint something, build something, and discover your amazing abilities. You have so many talents, let them shine.
10. Having empathy. Connect with others. Understand their thoughts and feelings. Remove yourself and your judgment and be open to discovering other people’s worlds.
11. Being accountable. Take charge of your actions. Know that you are a reliable person to yourself and to others around you. Own up to failures and go easy on yourself.
12. Having respect. Give and get respect. Look people in the eye and keep your chin up. You know what’s right and what’s wrong so make sure you keep to that.
13. Constantly growing and evolving. As we get older we take more in and have more experiences. Some good and some bad. Such is life. Soak in as much as you can and keep bettering yourself because the next chapter is right around the corner.
14. Being forgiving. We make mistakes and so do others. Sometimes it’s an accident and others it may be intentional. Regardless don’t hold on to it, instead be gracious enough to forgive.
15. Having integrity. Do the right thing and be a reliable source. This wholeness is a great source of goodness.
