Signs You Might Have Lifestyle Disorder (#86)

Lifestyle disorder as in a lack of a good and healthy lifestyle. During the COVID19 pandemic, many of us were completely isolated from others and were forced into a sedentary lifestyle. This sedentary lifestyle mostly consisted of unhealthy eating, lack of exercise, and overstimulation of negative media. This is a recipe for disaster and you might have a lifestyle disorder.

Did you have a great and healthy lifestyle pre-covid, filled with the goodness of life? Did you maintain it or did you fall off the wagon like most others? I am hoping you were able to maintain most of it and are springing back to the way it was. Scratch that, I am hoping that you are making it way better.

Lifestyle change

If you fell off, how are you planning on getting back on your feet? Do you have a plan of action to get you there? Depression has filled the souls of a lot of people, but it’s important for us to recognize what’s happened and not let much more time go by before we start the recovery process. Lifestyle disorder is becoming a thing sadly.

I myself got sucked in briefly and it didn’t look good. When you are weighed down by daily issues and then you add destructive behaviors such as poor eating, poor sleeping habits, and consumption of unnecessary things you can see how quickly things can get out of control, but luckily I realized the funk I was in and made the necessary changes as quickly as I could. Some good walks in the sunshine went a long way for getting clarity.

The realization of being distracted

If we are building our dreams and haven’t been down that path before, it can be complicated to understand what each challenge that comes our way is for. We may not always have the realization that we are being distracted from our goals. A good place to start is our health.

I am not a health nut by any means but I understand that there are lots of foods that have energy-zapping properties built in that will basically put you on your butt for the remainder of the day if you let it. I am personally fighting the whole starchy foods and sugars. It truly seems like a drug that is contributing to the whole lifestyle disorder thing.

My goal is to get back into the goodness in the right way. I need to reconnect with good people and re-spark the zest. I have picked back up on music, art, and the hobbies that make my heart happy. Next, I am getting back into my photography. Going to plan for some cool day trips in nature to take in the wildlife.

Some good tips to get out of the lifestyle disorder

  • Pay attention to your body, you may be feeling fatigued.
  • Get into an exercise routine to keep the blood flowing.
  • Revaluate your eating habits.
  • Reconnect with loved ones.
  • Minimize the exposure to negative media. It’s everywhere so the best bet is just to stay away.
  • Soak in the sun. You will feel the goodness.
  • Reduce the daily stresses as much as humanly possible.
  • Get a hobby going. Do something you enjoy and learn lots.

Conclusion

Lifestyle disorder is the lack of goodness within. If you have been stuck in a rut and not making much progress on your overall health and well-being, take the necessary steps to rise up. Seek help from a licensed therapist if need be. They can really help you realign with yourself.
