The good ole digital world is filled with amazing things. Everywhere you look you can find and learn cool things. But, you can also find many downfalls sadly. The online space can have lots of pitfalls. So, what does that mean for a business owner that doesn’t have a brick-and-mortar storefront?
My journey creating Ridiculously Enjoy Life the “Business” started at the end of 2019 right before our global pandemic. What a slow start. We were all sheltered in place and I had very few ways of getting the word out. I rarely got to speak to anyone in my area to share what REL was all about.
Click, click, click
Since my business is primarily online I needed to think outside the box. I turned to social media as many others did as well. Next, I created a group on Facebook to try to have that organic dialogue with people the best I could. That wasn’t easy. And in fact, it’s still tricky.
My goal for REL the “Business” was to start it up with $1000 dollars and see what I could do. I discovered very quickly that REL was a small drop in a large ocean of zeros and ones. It is mission-critical at this point to make each and every online engagement as impactful as possible. Still is in fact! It is a good thing regardless of realm.
I am a live and in color type of person trying to connect with people via the internet. It is very complicated doing that and making sure my audience is engaging and truly understanding point of view. I talk with my hands and I have many emotions behind what I do. None will actually come through on the wire.
Can you hear me now
This is a downfall of having my type of business. Yes, we can all read and comprehend what the text print is saying however, we have lost the emotion behind it. I am doing my very best to convey things to strike a chord with the audience. It is my mission. I am starting to accomplish it little by little.
As our world is opening up I am wanting to take advantage of any and all engagements with people to redirect them to the group so we can continue the connection. I meet people from all over from time to time and love having organic interactions. My goal is for me to have had such an impact that people will want to go to the site and then join the group.
Hello friends
The group provides me with an avenue to you guys. Our society has shifted greatly since the ramping of digital technology back in 2010. I am wanting to make peace with it the best way possible. My intentions aren’t to buy followers at all but I feel like I may have to consider it to get REL on the level it deserves. Buying the likes and followers doesn’t give us the type of people who really could use the information though.
They are apparently fake numbers. Robots filling a digital space to provide a smoke and mirror show to impress others enough to want to come into the space. People look at numbers before they give anyone a chance. To me, this is devastating because there are so many people that have amazing businesses and solutions that just aren’t given an opportunity.
These are downfalls, but that doesn’t mean the game is over. Not at all. In fact, it just gives me more motivation to amp up the game. I need to touch more people’s lives in the real world and use the old school tried and trued way of building an empire. Word of mouth. Word of mouth is one of the most powerful tools we have. To me, it’s the most reliable.
If you find that Ridiculously Enjoy Life has added any value to your life or possibly to someone close to you, please share this word of mouth way of connecting us together in this digital space. It would be greatly appreciated! I want to have readers that really want/need to be here. We can do this, now go get to work you good people!
Conclusion
Digital world of online businesses is super tough and competitive nowadays, so please do your best to pitch the good ones to people you care about. We just need to get creative.
