This is the second part:

Influencers and motivational speakers can help get you going! Did you ever look up to someone and that person always said things that resonated deep within you? Did that person inspire you to bring out the amazingness that you are? What happened to them? They may still be there and please be grateful. They also may not be in your life anymore, that’s ok too. Life can bring people into your life at different time periods for a reason that we may not know, that’s a part of it. Having a good and healthy mentor in your life is important in your pursuit of personal development.
We may not have good mentors or influential people around us to keep us in check, so the next thing to do is to think outside the box. That box these days are computers, which contain the world wide web. Let’s look at this “web” that people describe sometimes in a negative way. The web, if you look at it as the web in nature is all interconnected and we can utilize it as a tool. The resources are far and wide. For people looking for a virtual friend, an influencer, a mentor, and a guide, please consider using the internet for that. It is goodness on tap if you direct it to do so. We are in charge of what we view!
This is the second part of the list of people that speak to me on a certain level. (not in the way that would require me to wear a nice white jacket that hugs me all the time) I use them as resources in my pursuit of excellence within. Please know that not everything that people say will be the almighty fixing tool. That’s not the purpose. You take bits and pieces of what’s being given and use them in your world. Use them as reminders, guides, inspirations, and actionable resources. Get off your buns and get in gear!
The list includes some characteristics that resonated with me from each person.
There is no order to this what’s so ever. Pot luck. I take bits and pieces and implement them where I find to use. Be open and please share some of your mentors with us. Don’t give us your cousin Suzie’s cell phone number, because I don’t think she’ll appreciate mass random communication. Ha.
A while back I stumbled upon a YouTube channel that really spoke to me. The videos have a wonderful mix of motivational speakers with a layout of footage that evokes emotion. I totally dig them! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAPByrKU5-R1emswVlyH_-g/videos
Morgan Freeman– Well, it is my belief that if God had a physical form it would most certainly be him. His voice is powerful on so many levels and I will stop what I am doing to listen to whatever it is that is being said. Ok, that may not be a good sign, because he could always brainwash us and it would work. Kidding, but not. For me, like most the sound, the emotion, and delivery of any speech is very important to absorb. I have seen some really cool motivational speech compilation videos that include him that speaks to me.
Dwayne Johnson– This gentleman seems to have heart and soul. His conviction on whatever he does is inspiring. I relate to the people who have come from nothing and pursued their dreams on their terms. The stories and paths of where people like this have been resonating with me. I have fortunately never been in this position, but it has been too close for comfort.
Embedded thoughts:
When people have very little and their outcomes look bleak, sometimes it can create a sense of urgency to figure it out. The biggest part of this type of situation for me isn’t chasing money, but chasing who one is inside. It forces you to really turn inwards to find who you are and what you want out of life. When your life is stable and comfortable, people have the tendency to play it safe. Complacency seems to take over and we end up on autopilot. Don’t stay on autopilot for long. Find who you really are inside. Do the things that make YOU happy!
Jim Carrey– When I was young I thought he was pretty funny. He was live and in color. I watched “In Living Color” and loved the antics. Recently, I learned some of his past and it showed that he realized his path long before it started. He put his intentions out in the Universe and believed he was where he wanted to be. I like that.
Will Smith– Each of the people listed brings many different perspectives on personal growth and development which is very important to me. It shows that we have so many resources of positivity that can be explored. This gentleman chases down his fears and faces each of them. It isn’t easy facing your fears, but with the belief that fears have the potential to hold you back, it makes it easier.
David Goggins– OMG, this guy has been involved in some crazy stuff! He changed himself completely out of sheer will power. He saw himself as very weak and decided to turn it around. In your face and real, but this is the way some people need to understand.
We all need to have good and healthy people that are in our lives for the purposes of mentoring. Who is a part of your world? Do you have someone that is live and in color or do you have a virtual one in your life? If so who are they and how do they help you?
