We are talking about that sweet Italian machine or any other sports car of your choice that’s in your driveway! Doesn’t that sound amazing? Ok, back to the subject at hand. Continued from Post 35.
The drive we speak of is from an individual or a group of individuals that embrace challenges and create opportunities at every turn. Having like-minded people in your corner can be pretty exciting. Do understand that the entrepreneurial spirit isn’t something you can grab off the top shelf and put into play. It is a mindset that is built in from the factory in most cases. In other cases, it can be developed over time.
8 Entrepreneurial Spirit Traits
- Think all ideas have value. This is great for brainstorming sessions. Even if it’s by yourself. Writing down all ideas can have so much value to your present situation or future ones. Once a bad idea is realized it has a way of making us analyze it further. By analyzing them you would be surprised how many things come out of it.
- Be resilient and spring back. Be able to withstand and recover quickly from difficult situations. We get hit with all types of situations in our business lives as well as in our personal lives. You have to be ok with the rejections and chaos. Get up, dust yourself off, and smile. Don’t sit and stew in it or you’ll end up losing focus on what the ultimate goal is. In short, it’s how well you are able to overcome each situation.
- Out of the box mentality. That type of thought process that isn’t bound to everyday rules and standards. Just because your industry may be x, y, or z doesn’t mean that you can’t use ideas from a, b and c to come up with useful ideas.
- Take action. Get out of the habit of constantly preparing to start something. Get into it and take that action needed. In most cases, one of the hardest parts is starting.
- Be self-confident. Hopefully, you have this built-in but if not, no worries. You can build this up little by little.
- Be dependable. If you don’t have this we need to have a chat. For real. You have to be the type of person that others can count on. For your own word first and foremost and the rest will be up to you.
- Be great at networking. Connecting with others and exchanging ideas is a big part of the entrepreneurial spirit.
- Perseverance. persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. In short, it’s how well you are able to endure all the different challenges that show up left and right.
Conclusion
The entrepreneurial spirit is not something that you can get off the shelf. It’s created over time through experiences. Some good and some bad. Combining the two is a part of the recipe for the drive and determination needed to have the entrepreneurial spirit.
